Dr. Karthikeyan Ganapathy
Dr. Karthikeyan Ganapathy is a consultant psychiatrist (mental health physician) working with adults suffering from mental health problems. He has expertise in diagnostic assessment of patients suffering from minor and major mental illness. He helps in making management plans taking into account the patients individual preferences. He works with people suffering from adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder. He has special interest in working with patients suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder
Dr. Ganapathy training in Cambridge, UK has helped him understand the stigma of high achieving professionals not wanting to seek professional help for their mental illness. Professionals treated for mental illness like depression, on return to work, can continue to suffer from residual symptoms like difficulties in attention, concentration and planning. He has developed special interest in helping professionals return to work regaining full productivity by focussing on assessing and treating cognitive symptoms. He attended courses and workshops with Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance for training in ADHD. He has trained in Duke and Harvard in the innovative neuro-modulatory treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation.
Dr. K. Ganapathy completed his MBBS and MD in Psychiatry at Madras Medical College, Chennai, India by 2000. He underwent his specialist training in Psychiatry in Cambridge, U.K. where he became a member of the Royal College of UK (MRCPsych) in 2007 and completed his Certificate of Specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry by 2010. He became a Fellow of Royal College of Canada in Psychiatry in 2013.
Dr. Prasanna Ganesan
Dr. Prasanna Ganesan received his M.D (General Medicine) and Diagnostic Radiologist (D.M.R.D) at the Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy, Russia in 2003 and 2005 respectively. He achieved his Specialist Training in Diagnostic Radiology at Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India in 2006 as well as his Clinical Research Certification at Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad in 2009.
From 2007 – 2016 he was a General Practitioner / Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist, K.M. Multi Specialty Hospital & Bloom Health Care, Chennai, India. Also serving at Murari Hospital, Isabel Hospital and Apollo Hospital.
From Jan 2017 - December 2018 he was the TMS Manager / Research Coordinator for Assiniboine Medical Clinic (mental health clinic) Regina, SK, Canada. He worked with people suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder. He provided detailed explanation regarding TMS treatment to patients. He was also directly involved in patient counselling, preparation of final TMS reports and provided TMS Training to other Doctors.
Dr. Prasanna is TMS Manager / Research Coordinator for Envision Mind Care.
James undertook the internationally-renowned 1750-hour Isha Hatha Training Program in South India in 2013, wishing to bring Hatha Yoga in its full depth and profundity to an Canadian audience.
Also a graduate of Loyola college Madras,life has offered him a range of conventionally rewarding career pursuits that he has ignored in the pursuit of yoga. Teaching for him is neither a profession nor a hobby but an expression of a humbling and profound experience of the deeper dimensions of life that he strives to share with his students.
