Envision Mind Care is an interdisciplinary mental health and addictions clinic in Edmonton. We provide inpatient and outpatient services that integrate psychiatry, psychology, nursing, addiction counselling, physiotherapy, nutrition, and innovative treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and psychedelic assisted treatment when clinically appropriate. Our team is collaborative, evidence informed, and person centred.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Physiotherapist to support adults in mental health and substance use recovery. You will lead assessment, treatment, and functional rehabilitation in our onsite gym and therapeutic spaces, working closely with our physicians, counsellors, dietitian, kinesiologist, and nursing team. The role blends one-to-one care, small groups, and interdisciplinary care planning that supports daily function and return to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete physiotherapy assessments, outcome measures, and risk screens

  • Develop individualized treatment plans for mobility, strength, pain, and function

  • Provide 1:1 treatment, group-based therapeutic exercise, and movement education

  • Support safe use of equipment in our gym, adjust programs to client needs, and teach self-management strategies

  • Contribute to return-to-work plans, graded activity programs, and functional goal setting

  • Collaborate in case conferences, treatment reviews, and discharge planning

  • Document timely, accurate notes and outcomes in the EMR

  • Provide education on posture, pacing, sleep, movement for mood, and injury prevention

  • Uphold privacy, safety, infection control, and incident reporting procedures

  • Maintain clean, organized, and accessible treatment and gym areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy

  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta

  • Current BLS or CPR-C

  • Assets: experience in mental health, addictions, chronic pain, inpatient or residential settings, return-to-work programming, or neurostimulation environments

  • Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills

  • Trauma-informed, culturally safe, and client-centred approach

  • Clear Vulnerable Sector and Police Information Check, or willingness to obtain

Schedule and Work Arrangements

  • Weekday hours with the possibility of early evenings or occasional Saturdays based on program needs

  • Role can be structured as full-time or part-time

  • Onsite at our Edmonton clinic, with potential to support virtual education sessions
