Envision Mind Care is a leading-edge mental health and addiction treatment clinic. We deliver compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care through our in-patient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program, outpatient services, and integrated wellness therapies. We are excited to expand our interdisciplinary team with the addition of a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to support our in-patient clients.

About the Role:


This part-time role (1 day/week to start) is ideal for a motivated and collaborative RMT who is passionate about holistic healing. You will support clients in our in-patient program, many of whom are navigating recovery from addiction, chronic stress, trauma, and physical health concerns. There is opportunity for the role to expand based on client demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized therapeutic massage treatments to in-patient clients as part of their recovery and wellness plan.

  • Support clients dealing with chronic pain, stress, trauma recovery, musculoskeletal conditions, and physical discomfort associated with withdrawal or mental health disorders.

  • Maintain professional treatment notes in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, addiction counselors, physiotherapists, and allied health professionals.

  • Educate clients on aftercare practices and self-care strategies when appropriate.

Preferred Modalities & Skills (Not All Required):

Experience with any of the following massage techniques is considered an asset:

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Relaxation massage

  • Myofascial release

  • Head and scalp massage

  • Lymphatic drainage

  • Meditation-focused massage

  • TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) massage

  • Trauma-informed or somatic bodywork

Qualifications:

  • 2200-hour diploma from a recognized massage therapy program.

  • Registered and in good standing with an approved Alberta regulatory body (e.g., MTAA, NHPC, CRMTA, RMTA).

  • Current professional liability insurance.

  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds including:

    • Individuals recovering from trauma, addiction, or chronic illness

    • MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) clients

    • WCB (Workers' Compensation Board) clients

    • Veterans and active-duty service members

    • General population

  • Professionalism, compassion, and a client-centered, trauma-informed approach.

Compensation:
